Nick is a policy development and implementation nerd focused on strengthening the public's trust in government to solve our biggest challenges. He is a results-focused leader with 16 years of experience building diverse teams, creating effective coalitions, and guiding complex projects in both the public and private sectors.
Nick currently serves as Senior Implementation Advisor for the Institute for Responsive Government, where he helps state elected officials and agency staff implement policy solutions that make government more efficient and accessible. He is also the President and CEO of Oktapodo, a community development and public policy firm working with both prominent national organizations and local teams with deep community roots to identify the root causes of inequity and design data-based, systems-level solutions to return resources and power to disinvested communities. He previously served as Chief of Community Development and Policy for the City of Tulsa, Oklahoma, overseeing the City's planning, housing, transit, and education efforts, and led the Government Affairs team for the Tulsa Regional Chamber.
Nick is a Wyoming native who is getting settled into his new home of Chicago, Illinois, with his partner Mana Tahaie. He is a graduate of The George Washington University’s Graduate School of Political Management, the Institute for Organizational Management, and the University of Tulsa.
